A happy work environment breeds a happy worker.A simple way to keep the worker happy is listening to the worker’s grievances and try to alleviate them.
However when the Blanket Mine workers reach the 200% Target Bonus,they are given a 105% work done target robbing them 95%.
Where is it taken to?
Speaking to a company official who declined to have his name written, said this has been going on for some time and they must be given their money as per agreed arrangement.
Also the issues of accommodation should be addressed with immediate effect. The housing which the mine is providing right now is not sufficient to the workers. The gravity of this situate is seen in the fact that some of the workers are renting at neighboring mines such as Vumbachikwe.Some are commuting daily from surrounding areas like Gwanda. It is the duty of the mine to provide housing for it’s workers.
Conclusively, the workers in conjunction with the community should ensure that justice is served and workers are treated as assets to the business to improve their motivation and economy at large.
