Slow process of different vernacular language being taught Marikana primary school by Ipeleng (Marikana)

Marikana is a mining area occupied by different people from around the country to work in the mines. People brought their families to stay with and children to attend school in here. In  the past years parents complained that their children had no choice but to study Setswana as their home language as there were no teachers to teach other languages especially IsiXhosa.

Talking to the principal at a primary school in Marikana west she said Setswana is offered from trade 0-7 as home language analysis isiXhosa offered from grade 0-4.this is a good change as every child deserves to know their home language matter the area they were brought up in.
