Community of Magakala still think that mining is the answer even after the disappointment from other surroundings mines

On the 9/03/2017 I attended community meeting that was called at the royal ‘ s house at Magadimane Ntweng Ga kgosi-gadi Ntwampe at Sekhukhune .People came in numbers as one of the reasons meeting was called is that the community was promised

The meeting was supposed to start at 10:00 but it started at 12:00 midday .People waited patiently for this meeting some where gathered at some shops while others sitting under the tree. When I spoke to some if the people who are there told me this meeting was follow-up meeting after the meeting they had with Mine manager weeks ago. It was really heart touching to hear community says they are always travel to the royal house everyday because they are hoping that Chromex mine will hire them one day.
Even yesterday nothing came out from the meeting but people were encouraged to attend this kind if meeting and the postponement where made to next week Thursday again. I spoke to 3 gentle men from the village Ditwebeleng they told me that everyday they travel to the royal house and they hope and believe Monday they will get some jobs. What came to my mind is will our communities suffer like that empty with promises .
