Houses build on a mine dump and wetland in Mogase View-Diepkloof has been a problem since the beginning. Mogase as the councillor and area named after him must be accountable together with the inspector who was in charge in inspecting that land.

As it rains the residents whose houses are built next to the stream and bushes are affected because water from that stream over flows into their yard which results in scrubs/algae growth and some walls collapses. financially it hits them in their alto Alsop because no one is doing anything now excluding the times that the Councillor then did and the present one has not helped the residents.
