Community Alerts/Puseletso Diphoko/ Dominionville -Klerksdorp/21/05/2018

Unemployment in this area is a well-known problem. Relative poverty is unpreventable. The closer we get to ending extreme poverty, the harder it is going to be to do it but as for someone who has mind and always know how to make use of it, poverty can be prevented, that is why we have people like Talita Mogolegeng and Gadifele Mabango.

Talita recycles old bottles, plastics, plastic bottles and lids to generate her own income. Recycling is important in today’s world if we want to leave this planet Earth for our future generation. It is good for our environment since we are making new products from old resources which are no use to us. Recycling begins at home, utilizing old products for something new, you actually are recycling. Talita is proud to say she is saving the world by reducing, re-using and recycling the old products to make a living and cleaning the environment.

Gadifele says she is proud to earn a living for her children from old buildings as walls of old building are falling apart Gadifele is using bricks from those walls as her income, she’s cleaning those bricks and sell them to potential clients and farmers. The farmers are using those bricks to build homes for their animals such as pigs, dogs and others are using them to build rooms to stay in. Gadifele is proud to say that she’s an entrepreneur, she’s not just earning a respectable income but also saving children from playing on those walls as they may fall. By Puseletso Diphoko
