NEW METER BOX FROM ESKOM

There are new box installation from Eskom that is in progress in Lydenburg and Mashishing location the meter box that is introduced to the communities is expensive and families can’t afford to buy electricity any more. One of the community member mentioned that he buys R100-00 electricity every week and he is no longer affording the gas. The process is still continues and even after the source visited the municipality offices several times he was told that there’s nothing they can do about it . This is affecting everyone in the area and there’s no help for communities.

When I shared this information with people from my area they told me the same boxes are now being installed in our neighbouring village. This is hard how people can afford to live this expensive life. Who benefits from all this?
