Community alerts/Andries Mocheko/Lephalale/22-05-2018, 15:21]

After a very important and a helpful program of Waterberg Environmental Justice Forum in Steenbokpan Yesterday, we also revealed the story of Tuesday, 07 / June 2011 was by the Communities of Steenbokpan claimed that their 14 graves are moved without a Consultation. Their Coffins were moved in order to make space for incoming Mining Company in Smitspan Farm (Lephalale). Last month of early April 2018 the family of Menyuku from Hamanskraal (Pretoria) went to the farm to perform their rituals but they met with an open hole. WEJF will engage on this matter with the affected communities to it further because until now the affected communities don’t know where their loved once are laid to rest.

We have spoken to affected member from Tibanyane Family “We have gave up because we reported this hurting story everywhere and to Human Rights Commission but there is no help “he said. We appeal to those have more information to come forward.

When some people are happy about the mining that will come in Lephalale, others are facing bad treatment from mining companies. There is time to defend ourselves for such treatment.
