LEAKING SEWAGE PIPE CONTAMINATION

The Twickenham mine sewage pipe which passes through the ploughing fields between the  sewage dam and the sewage pump is leaking continuously contaminating the nearby pieces of arable land used for cultivating crops. The pipes are dripping slowly but creating a greenish layer and smelly stagnant water. We believe that the  water flow will be catalysed during the rainy season which will then slowly result in a significant contamination of the fields. We intend to discuss this during the next organisational meeting, possible investigate the degree of impact and subsequently write a letter of complaint to the mine.
