Act alliance is deeply rooted in the communities it serves, it is always on the front line addressing systematic poverty, supporting survivors of disasters, wars and conflicts, training rural communities in sustainable agricultural techniques, helping people to adapt to environmental change, and influencing government and other key decision makers to safeguard citizens human rights. This year the act alliance has taken another step to build a suitable network called UBUMBANO community VOICES.
Mr Bobby Marie from benchmark foundation facilitated their workshop and introduced to them how the Tunatazama network has broken isolation and silence and it how it has created a platform that will make communities to support each other. He showed them how they can tell their stories just by taking a picture from their hotspots. Different communities and organizations around Africa are now equip and are willing to monitor their communities with the Ubumbano community Voices. By Thokozile Mntambo
