Illegal mining has been a case on everyone’s lips in Limpopo Province, Sekhukhune district with some community members claiming benefits from the operations even though the operations were often disturbed by law enforcement halting the operation. Despite all the community of Monametse have find solace in the hands of a good Samaritan who has managed to secure a mining permit for the village which let to the employment of almost 100 villagers and the establishment of the community trust. Although the operation is still in its infant stages villagers are jubilant that end the end of the day they will finally managed to put food on the table.
