This is the third day we see employees of Berryl Mine at Phola chanting at the gates of their mine, and burning tyres. All the operation of Berryl were stopped .Since coronavirus hit our country many employers victimise the rights of employees.

They work long hours and weekends but at month-end they are only paid less wages, no overtime and weekends money no nightshift allowance even the risk money as they were essential workers.

As we pass Mzimkhulu mine to Kendal we saw the same thing at Mzimkhulu entrance .The employees of Mzimkhulu were also burning tyres and blocked the entrance of the Mine. No one is allowed to go in or out. The employees want their risk money as they are in four months of covid19
