As the mine workers are back to work and the operation at the mine is picking up to call it’s mine workers who were still at home to come to work, the increase of workers who are suspects and those who are victims of COVID 19 are being found during the screening on the first day of their return.

Before they can go to their shifts and be allowed to their different working departments, the workers are subjected to the mine clinic where they are screened and that’s where they are found and transferred to the mines isolation clinic for treatment and further evaluation.

As said the workers who are mostly found with the infection and who are suspected to have are people from other provinces KZN, Eastern Cape and in others are from far areas. They are taken to the isolation clinic for 14 days and if no improvement, they are transferred again to quarantine where they will be treated
