Persistent water shortage in Phokeng

Masosobane has experienced water shortages for some time now and the community raised issues pertaining to it. As previously reported the issue seemed to have been resolved by the RBA in appointing contractors and consultants to resolve a long-standing issue. However, of recent the whole of Phokeng has had water challenges which authorities indicate that Magalis Water which supplies Phokeng with water has had challenges with water levels which have decreased dramatically over the last few months. Covid19 experience around the world has seen an impact on many communities around the issue of hygiene which of course is informed by access to water. Many people are beginning to few that we might face a drought as we continue to experience low dam levels
