Second spinach harvest

End of May this year I started re-growing vegetable scraps. I managed to regrow potatoes, tomatoes, onions, garlic, robot peppers. This became a fun part of cooking for us all at home knowing we don’t have to throw away anything. We started a seed bank and managed to share with neighbours who kept asking for seeds and weren’t taking the advice of saving their own seeds.

One of our neighbours shared some beetroot and spinach seedlings with us and yesterday we got to eat it for the second since it was planted in July. I bought some organic seeds which I plan to plant as soon as we have properly prepared the land as it’s rainy season and weeds grow faster and clay soil is not easy to work when wet. It’s definitely fun to eat from our backyard.
