Damaged roads in the village

15/02/2021/ Mmabore Mogashoa/Limpopo/Sekhukhune Ga-Mogashoa

It has been raining since December 2020 and our village roads look terrible. It is difficult to drive in the village and some parts even makes it difficult to walk. Our children have now gone back to school now and some even play in the dongas which are not safe for them and livestock. This roads are used by all the villages everyday. I spoke to one of the villages Mrs Mogashoa who build her house in 1983 and she said they have lost hope as they are the ones who have to make a plan when roads are damaged. They have been fixing the roads for a long time and because the material they use(old bricks, aloes, sand and empty mealiemeal containers) are not strong enough as rain sweeps them away. She said that every

year they try to fix the roads because they are the ones who suffer a lot when they are damaged. She said that they buy food and building material from the shops at Tshehlwaneng/Jane furse and sometimes needs delivery.
