Já passa uma semana que as fontenarias de Cateme não jorram água.
Este é um problema que tira sono aos residentes, segundo o que apurei junto aos que velam pela água em Cateme. É dito que o facto deve-se a uma avaria mecânica na bomba que puxa a água do poço até ao reservatório, e salientar que ja existe uma nova bomba que será instalada.
Para conseguir água, as pessoas recorrem aos poços que cada um abriu no seu quintal, devendo pagar 5,00Mts a cada botija 20 litros, sendo que nem todos tem essa capacidade.
Sempre que Cateme tiver problemas de água, não temos nenhum meio alternativo, visto que não há rios nesta região. Mesmo para abertura de poços, o lençol freático não e favorável, as pessoas cavam cerca 8 à 9 metros sem humidade.
