In 2019 the Rustenburg platinum mines and Rustenburg community development trust took an initiation to award the community of Mfidikoe with a social and labour plan content of sewer waterborne infrastructure development amounting to 42 million.

And the consultants and Rustenburg local municipal water and sanitation department including the Royal Bafokeng administration squandered the figures to 21 million now the community are carrying the brunt of busted drains and the harmful smell.
