Villagers making boreholes because of water scarcity

Water scarcity is a huge problem in most of the rural areas for years. In 2020 and 2021  we have seen young and old people buying water or pushing wheelbarrows. This affects women mostly because they are the ones doing most of the house chores at home. Some of the villagers make their own borehole to have water. People cannot live without water. Now with the pandemic is risky to have no water or que for water. We hoped that after 1994 elections things will be better but no. The population is increasing and the boreholes

are not enough in the rural areas and this will make the Corona virus to be there for years. People are being buried as a result of Corona virus. People need water to be safe and healthy but lack of water in the rural areas is causing problems. Clean water is also needed to water plants because as activists we encouraging people to have their own gardens in their homes and some of the water used for washing clothes is not good for the plants and our health.
