Impala expansion

Impala recently announced that they are negotiating with Royal Bafokeng Platinum which is supposedly owned by black owned company called Royal Bafokeng Holdings which is the investment wing of the Bafokeng community.

The announcement comes as a shock to my community members who were not informed of the business decision by RBH.

If the deal goes on, the ownership of mineral deposits will once again be owned by white owned shareholders which have over the years demonstrated arrogance towards developing mining host communities.
