Premature marriages and violation of children’s rights in the village of Nhambalualu

I went to work today, November 30, in the village of Nhambalualu, in order to consult with local leaders and some people from the same village, about premature marriages and violation of the rights of underage children.

Two young children between the ages of 12 and 14 were forced to marry a man in his 60s.

After hearing the clarifications from the leaders and some neighbors, we went to the house of the parents of the two children, but we didn’t find the parents there. In this case, the leaders will say when these gifts are present as some people claim that the parents received some money from the rapist.

The first-echelon leader and others are the people who stopped the case so that they are not reported or referred to police rules. Tomorrow we will meet the parents for direct information.

We also visited the construction site for the water supply system in the same village.
