No Waste system leads to Illegal dumping

There’s illegal dumping near Palala river and there is a community borehole water pumping machine nearby .This acts happens on the mainstream to the river including community water pump machine, as an ongoing basis .

 

This affect women and children and the community at large .The cause is unavailability of dumping area and bins near homestead and lack of environmental education to reduce, reuse and recycle.

 

Solution

 

Campaign roll-out by relevant structures like health, environment, and CBO’S and also

Lephalale municipality must fulfil its Constitutional mandate.

 

Suggestions

*The Lephalale municipality must be held accountable.

 

*The traditional authorities must also be accountable as this is also their constituencies.
