
Community efforts to repair bad road pushed the municipality to deliver

There place called Moshira around Burgersfort Sekhukhune District, this village has been straggling with bad roads for years, they were using a gravel road that was giving them a problem during rain, children and teachers were bunking school because of the gravel, and they manage to write letters to different mines around but mines failed to help. A ward committee Mr Thobejane Oscar raised a concern to a Ward Counsellor about the road early January this year, they didn’t find any response within two month, the community of Moshira started to gather and planning to contribute R10.00 per house so that they can hire any truck to deliver a sand with stone, they manage to do that, the truck deliver twice to forth times our Municipality called Greater Tubatse something click in their minds and started to hear out the community. Now as we speak the Greater Tubatse Municipality doing a great job at Moshira village, even though some people they are not sure about the quality of what they are doing, they said they be sure after raining.
