Wetlands curb flooding in Sand street

Residents are stranded in their homes, the water from the stream riches knee high and they have to wait till the water subsides.

Residents of Molopo street Riverlea Johannesburg are frustrated because of the ongoing flooding in their homes that are built on the banks of the stream.   They are also drowning in sewer because of drains not maintained.  These homes are on Nasrec road on your way to the FNB Stadium. Molopo street Riverlea Johannesburg is also invested with flies, mosquitoes and snakes after heavy rains.     By Dawn Anderson
