We saw communities suffer the capitalist system with food parcels since day one of COVID-19 pandemic, the government of our country doesn’t care about its people especially us who are from rural mining villages.

We saw an ANC ward councillor and his ward committee campaigning for 2021 local elections with food parcels that were given to ANC members only while the marginalised community members suffer the lockdown stress mentally because there was no food to feed the members of their families.

I Velile khoza an activist an monitor within the village, I sent an email to Anglo American and Sibanye Stillwater’s community sustainability officer’s to intervene and they never replied my emails till today.

The power of activism is when a human rights defender never seize to solve the policy or legislature for communities to feel the freedom and democracy, an activist from Mfidikoe Velile Khoza managed to source a Good Samaritan to help the less fortunate with food parcels from Seriti institute.
