Encontro com a Cruz vermelha de Moçambique
Hoje, dia 3 de Agosto de 2021 participei num encontro com a Cruz vermelha de Moçambique, representantes do governo distrital provincial que velam nas obras públicas, chefe do posto Administrativo de Benga e líderes comunitários de diferentes povoados da localidade de Benga.
O encontro tinha como objetivo informações sobre a construção de algumas infra-estruturas que a organização da cruz vermelha tem por apoiar nas comunidades, neste caso, sistema de abastecimento de água via painel solar, bombas pedestais e algumas latrinas nas escolas.
Pediram ao governo do posto Administrativo de Benga para estar aberto e apoiar a mesma para o desenvolvimento das comunidades, também disseram que terão todos cuidados sobre a violência sexual contra crianças menores de idade, que pode vir a acontecer com os seus trabalhadores.
E por outro lado, recebemos uma visita da Ramboc, que é uma organização da sociedade civil de Moatize que vinha fazer auscultação sobre valor de 2,75%, que é para o desenvolvimento local e a comunidade local.
Disseram que não tem participado na decisão dos projectos, tudo é com o governo e alguns líderes comunitários, e fez-se uma visita a escola e ao seu sistema de água. Mas aqui ficaram muito tristes porque em 2018 afirmou-se que foram compradas 175 chapas, sem o cencentimento da comunidade e hoje o lider do segundo escalão de Benga diz que as chapas acabaram na cobertura do posto e latrinas.
Quando fomos ao posto vimos que foram usadas apenas 40 chapas e é muito triste um lider desses nao fazer nada para o desenvolvimento da sua comunidade.
Meeting with the Red Cross of Mozambique
Today, August 3, 2021, I participated in a meeting with the Red Cross of Mozambique, representatives of the provincial district government who are responsible for public works, head of the Administrative post of Benga and community leaders from different villages in the locality of Benga.
The meeting aimed at information on the construction of some infrastructure that the organization of the red cross has to support in the communities, in this case, a water supply system via a solar panel, pedestal pumps and some latrines in schools.
They asked the government of the Administrative Post of Benga to be open and support it for the development of communities, they also said that they will all be careful about sexual violence against underage children, which may happen to their workers.
And on the other hand, we received a visit from Ramboc, which is a civil society organization from Moatize that came to inquire about the value of 2.75%, which is for local development and the local community.
They said that they have not participated in the decision of the projects, everything is up to the government and some community leaders, and a visit was made to the school and its water system. But here they were very sad because in 2018 it was said that 175 plates were purchased, without the community’s consent and today the second-level leader in Benga says that the plates ended up on the roof of the post and latrines.
When we went to the post we saw that only 40 plates were used and it is very sad that such a leader does nothing for the development of his community.
