With few days to go to the polls the residents of Diepkloof zone 4 experienced electricity cut offs since Monday, politicians from various political parties have been making promises to work for communities and provide services to residents, all this is because of the elections and after them they don’t deliver and never come back to say or tell the people why they can’t render the services.
Frustrations over electricity is a serious problem as these cut offs lead to protests that lead to more damage to some of the resources we struggle to get from time to time as we burn tire’s, blocking of Soweto high way and this leads to no taxis, buses nor private cars on the Soweto high way, residents are saying that if electricity is not back on there are no votes, people will not vote this year.
