Water project in our community

It is almost a year now having this pipelines sub-contractors in our village. There is more impressive improvements on their work than before, therefore we do appreciate that as community members. They started by digging the roads and putting supplying pipes underground the whole village using a map. They are now installing taps and mater boxes in each house and also testing all the valves to see that they all in oder.

Since well the contract is coming to an end. Lot of our community members who where employed by the sub-contractors are now being retrenched, only few members left. We are looking forward to see service delivery inthe community for a long period of time.

We want to see this future community having acces to everything that other villages have. We dont want to see people buying water all the time, same going to fetch them in the river or wells of which are more than 7kms from their homes. Water from the river and wells is no longer safe because people throw baby dippers inside the rivers and wells. Once the project is done it would be a relief to our mothers and sisters because water problem affect them mostly.

We say to all community members whatever the government brings to our society lets appreciate it by taking good care of it and protecting it.
