Green youth innovation

A workshop on funding opportunities was held on the 14th April 2023 at Apel hall situated at Fetakgomo, youth were given an opportunity to present a project to be funded by Green Youth Innovation they are looking for 10 projects around Limpopo Province that are concentrating on the environment. The purpose of green innovation is that it comprises all types of innovation that contributes to the creation of key products, services or processes to reduce the harm the harm, impact and deterioration of the environment at the same time optimises the use of natural resources.
The types of innovations:
1. Sustainability
2. Breakthrough
3. Disruptive
4. Basic research
The goal of green technology is to protect the environment, repair damages done to the environment in the past, and conserve the earth’s natural resources. The benefit of green innovation are green building not only reduces water waste but may also contribute to enriching water resources, preserve natural resources, defends biodiversity and enhances air and water quality, decrease the number of toxic goals to set free into the air

How to motivate people to innovation:
*Planning further workshops
*Sharing ideas with new people
*Reaching out to customers to get feedback on the ideas generated
*Giving people a chance to test their ideas
The world is in danger because of the products and services we use, the methods used for production and what we as people do to the environment. All this results in pollution which worsens climate change. With workshops like this, at least youth will know the importance of protecting our environment and come up with ideas for new products that are safe for people, plants, animals and land.
