The new mine has just been opened near kwa-guqa ackerville and this mine it’s been open next to one of the mines where by this mines are situated in one area this mines they are changing names now and are again , and they are blasting as they wishe without thinking about their neighbors which is the community of Ackerville.

This is happening at Ackerville under kwa-Guqa Mpumalanga Highveld Nkangala region, where by everyone who wants to open a mine they just do without of hesitation.

This has been happening since the first mine was arrived and every mine that is arriving they are doing the same thing, since the arrival of the new mine nothing has change instead situation it’s worse and the sad part of this mines are not only closer to the Community of Ackerville there’s also a Hospital.

The community is the most affected especially the children and the people as they easily catch sicknesses from the dirty air caused by blasting and, as you can see on the pictures the dust that is coming after the blasting it effect everything , Nature, Human being, etc.

The mines next to Ackerville kwa – Guqa are just blasting as they wish they don’t care about nearby communities and surroundings of other Communities who are also affected.

Community of Ackerville and other parts of Emalahleni they scared to take action against this mines because it’s very dangerous to be against this mines, Community its meeting and talk about this issues but it is very difficult to act but as VEM we will try to assist if they allow us to do so.

The community has already reported this challenges to Emalahleni local Municipality, DMRE, Councillor, but nothing has happened but now the Community should continue to meet and involve other stakeholders and seek for advice .
