Firms affecting human’s lives in many ways
We are having firms that operate daily and causing pollution in the community, even on the
air, and they are all aware of what is happening outside their firms.
Firms cause air pollution as they burn materials to manufacture a certain product, the smoke
affects the air that we breath. The firms also dispose things that are not useful in our
environment, which is not right because we have children who play around and love picking
things found on the ground and eat them.
Such things make our children sick because some chemicals are poisonous. The outcome of
what might happen after drinking those things will be very bad.
When I talk about firms including Micrometres, the firm is built alongside the households,
very close. Their work is to burn and manufacture steel, that is what they make, including
any metal rock and more. They manufacture steel to create and design plates and other
things that are used for households.
Their job is beautiful, but they should not be selfish when it comes to pollution and human
life because we also want to live a healthy life with no illnesses. The community has been
complaining about the pollution in the air until they ended up accepting that in Witbank
there’s no living a healthy life. This is because wherever you go there are mines, except
where rich people live. The community is asking for the last time to be considered and our
views and stories to be taken seriously.
The solution is that the municipality and the factories need to work with the community on
the issue and see how we can avoid the burning of the chemical from the factories. "All we
want is that, the firms must at least limit the burning that is happening or come with
another strategy for melting their steel. They must also dispose their waste far away from
our community at Vosman village, and also to resolve the issue.
