FLOODS ARE THE ROOT CAUSE OF CLIMATE CHANGE
The problem is the floods that are caused by climate change that are caused by the industries around Newcastle. It’s happening in Newcastle in KwaZulu-Natal province
Most of the residents are affected by these floods because people lose jobs some lose their houses and these storms claim some other people’s lives but the people who are most affected are women because losing a job if it’s a woman losing a job or a man of the house lose job the women will suffer most and the farmers are suffering too because their Crops dies or they are eroded from the gardens and that means the food price has to increase and people don’t know about all of this chain of issues
This issue of climate change has been the for years now and in Newcastle it’s the 3rd time this kind of flood has inside the shops in town and also claimed people’s lives and the building fall of the transformer electricity bust ,The cause of climate change and lots of floods is us as humans and lots of contributions come from coal power stations and industries burning fossil fuel
We are all responsible as humans but industries should have a mitigation plan for this burning of fossil fuel as community-based organizations do workshops on our communities about all of these issues that concern climate change and go to local community radio stations to voice out on we have to work together on this issue that the whole world is facing now
The solution for these issues is to transition from coal power stations, fossil fuel, and gas to windmills, solar panels bio gas and as environmental activists we have to visit the municipality to see their plans on IDP about just transition and their development plan and start to engage as communities who are most affected.
