Impacts of blasting to our Environment and wellbeing

Since Schoonland Opencast mine was established near our location life is no longer the same, they blast everyday forgetting the negative impact caused by the blasting that is happening to us as community.

As communities we are facing real negative impacts that is caused by the blasting no one else.

It happens any day they blast any day they push for production that’s all matters to them.

Nearby community as Vosman we are most affected because Schoonland Opencast Mine is not far from our location,

Blasting causes cracks to our houses and we also have a School nearby the Opencast the are huge cracks on the walls of the School and also a dust lying in that wall and easy to penetrate into the classes through that cracks.

We need the Opencast to be closed that is the only solution.

DMRE should come to the community and see the damage that is caused by the Opencast and take decision from there.
