Nurses giving patients the wrong medicine

The Vosman Clinic has hired new nurses who lack experience for the job. This happened at
Vosman Clinic in Witbank. One of the patients in the community was given the wrong medicine,
she was supposed to be given high blood pressure medication but was accidentally given
ARVs. She is HIV-negative, luckily she did not take them because she knew what HIV pills look
like. What the Nurses do is wrong because people might die or go crazy when they drink the
incorrect medication that is not prescribed for their bodies.
I interviewed the person who got the wrong medication and she was not happy about the
situation, she stated that:
“I was not satisfied with the medication that I had to drink, the place that we run to as a community
for help is the very same place making us sicker, we seek help but they give us the wrong
medication. They should hire experienced people to help us with our illnesses and let the
newbies take care of flu and coughing. They can then get proper training to do
their jobs well without any mistakes or incidents.
As the interviewee has said, they request that experienced Nurses be hired to do the job
and train the new staff. It would be great if they did so because we all want to live a healthy life.
After all, sometimes mistakes can cause Trauma.

Let’s do things the right way and live a better life without complications.
