We ended the day at Mbilana Shop braaing some meat. We discussed whether the mine created jobs in the community. “They brought people from outside, Rustenburg, Welkom, Swaziland, only one or two local people, only one or two locals got jobs.”… “They had no respect for our culture or for our sisters or daughters… eish, these mines.”… “They did nothing for the development of our community. They built three houses to replace cracked ones, but all our houses are falling apart because of the mine.”… “The dust is terrible…”
