My kids are born in Vosman while I’m from Ehlanzeni Region in the Lowveld but I was surprised to hear them complaining of paining throats which makes them to always cough.

This happened in Vosman where I have a house as I was a mine worker but due to the retrenchment I’m now out of job and decided to go back home in the Lowveld Region.
This happened in 2020 when the mine said due covid19 pandemic they will retrench some workers of which my name was among those who have been retrenched.

I was physically and spiritually affected because I failed to deal with the situation for my kids were still young and attending school in Emalahleni. But accepted after the Doctors told me to relocate so that my kids can have a better life.

I then decided to relocate together with my kids in 2022 though for me I still visit Emalahleni because I left a business in my home which needs to be monitored.

The solution to the people living in the Highveld and Emalahleni Local Municipality is to relocate especially those who are able rather than carrying the burden of taking them to the doctor’s
The government already knows that the air quality that is destroying people’s lives but nothing is being done. So major and drastic steps must be taken.
