Polluted air is a killer

#SINUSES

Most of the community members in the Highveld region are suffering from respiratory diseases because of the mining operations that is happening though it was declared High Priority Area in 2007.

In the place called Ezinambeni and Vosman is where opencast mining is taking place without following any restrictions set for mining.

Every day and every night the operation of mining is happening in the places mentioned above and is in the fence line of the community members.

The community members are unemployed and staying in the neighborhood of the mine’s thus affecting the lives of the community negatively impacting their livelihood and spreading killer diseases like sinuses and more. This disease ends up becoming a burden to the parents as most of them are not working.

Most sicknesses are attacking more at night of which the clinics are closed and the only available health care is the hospital in town and no ambulance for transportation.

The clinic must be operationally for 24 hours cause the companies release the emissions at night that’s why they are mostly sick at night.

Weather the mine are closed and the law enforcement enforce the law by closing the unlicensed mines.
