The community of Skulpad village outside Mokopane town has been suffering for a long time. They are being harassed by the municipality and the department of public works road and infrastructure for not providing them with basic services. The community has long been informing the Department of public works, road and infrastructure about their road being damaged by saturation and lack of Calverts

The community got together and decided to prepare for their road. They hired a tractor to load rocks and sand to fill the potholes in the road and repair the bridge.

The community has been informing the Department of public works, road and infrastructure about the bridge that is very dangerous near the primary school.

That bridge is very dangerous for children during the rainy seasons. It has been damaged for two years and the department knows about it, but they are not helping with anything.

On 2-07-2024, the community and the local taxi association are going to embark on a total shutdown and hand over a memorandum to the District Director of Public Works Roads and Infrastructure, and the CEO of Road Agency Limpopo.

They are saying “enough is enough”
