House cracks

Monametse village in Tipeng section is the most closely affected
Community by the Bokoni platinum mine.
Ten years down later, Bokoni Platinum Mine initiated a shaft called
Brakfontein affected part of community members around Tipeng section
and Mokgotho partly, which due to the radius countdown only forty-five
house owners relocated.
This created serious division in our community in Monametse during the
radius countdown to relocate some and leave others behind. Bokoni
Platinum Mine during the relocation meeting the issue of house cracks
was there but the mine drifted themselves in the matter and grievance
was passed to mine, particularly the social performance delegates.
The community residents continued to suffer from things like house
cracks which was wrong. The claim about house cracks on the upper side
of the community/ village. Though mine denied the remaining cracked
houses, surprisingly Bokoni platinum mine agreed to repair those
cracked houses.
Community members whom repaired their houses and mine take the no
action.
This affect community residents because they don’t have any money
rebuilt new houses, other reason being that mine doesn’t provide jobs
to Monametse community.
Monametse residents particularly those who are under the Tribal
Authorities, Bokoni platinum mine speaks business language which
always prefer local business forums.
Our objectives are straight forward, because local business are
transformation we believe in themselves .
But from signed agreement only business opportunity, than community
members are lost.
The community loses their benefit due part if the story that has never
been shared.
So community now trying to have legal representatives as a third party.
Because mine failed to provide justice to the community of Monametse,
community has no way to run except legal representatives.
The mine used to blast sometimes and congestion which continues
cracking old once.
Everyone is not familiar with my impact, but due to police brutality
community is forced to agree.
