Useless dam

At Madifahlane village which is going through a serious crisis of water
scarcity, they have a dam in their community full of water that is used to
store water to supply the mines and towns, but the surrounding areas

are greedy and dying of thirst, the crops are also dying not forgetting the
animals. This has been happening for decades ago even today. The
municipality is unable to fulfill its promises so will do?
The mines are responsible for this and they are not alone but including
Fetakgomo Tubatse Municipality has made a deal with the mines
without informing the community, without their responses. They sold
the community for their own benefit. Our FTM is full of corruption,
nepotism, and fraud. That is the main reason why we are suffering day
by day, we pay for water.
The mines have to shut and the municipality must hire more people to
boost their workers, who know their jobs and who respect their duty
and other people’s rights to have clean and free water on their land.
They must supply the surrounding areas with free water from that dam
every day.
The community also must normalize communicating with the miners for
this issue they have to write a letter of complaint to the mine. Therefore
they will have to protest for their rights and they have to protect their
land and its raw materials again the gifts of nature such as air, soil, and
water for their health lastly for the coming generations then that means
they have to own that dam for their survival for good. Thus they will
have to destroy the dam if it is not supplying the community with water
and maybe they can rebuild it in town as they are the ones who are
getting free delivery of water every day. Or the mine has to make a plan
for the community.
