I’m Thandukwazi Lancelot Dube from Dannhauser – Northern KwaZulu-Natal under Amajuba District. I’m working with non-profitable organization called Sukumani Environmental Justice (S.E.J). I’m 47 years old. I’ve noticed unfair and injustice treatment in 2012 when the coal mining company coming in our village. The mining company start to put their big machines and start its operation while they are some families that are staying there and they used force and police to move those who are still not happy about the mining.

As an activist my envisioned changes is to promote social justice, equality and human rights like achieving equal opportunities, justice and dignity for all. Economic justice and inequality reduction, climate action and sustainability. LGBTQ+ rights and equality. Disability rights and Accessibility, ending Systemic racism and decriminalization. I’m organizing public gatherings, Marches and Rallies to raise awareness and pressure decisions makes. To collect signatures and writing letters to influence policymakers, Corporations and institutions. I’m Use the popular platforms to campaign like local radio stations, Facebook, WhatsApp to spread awareness, mobilize support and create online movement. Building and empowering local communities to take action, using tactics to boycott, sit-ins and civil disobedience to challenge injustice systems. Research and writing report to expose injustice’s identity solutions and inform policy decisions.

My activities are driven by their own experiences with injustice marginalization. Connecting with minded individuals building strong relationships, learning from experienced activists, leaders or mentors can offer valuable guidance encouragement and inspiration. Maintaining a clear vision of more just, equitable and compassionate world can sustain activities committed even in the face of challenges and setbacks.
