No transparency to the community about the activities happening in the mine tailing for safety of people.

Pan-African Resources is now building high walls with sand in the mine tailing evaporation ponds, and it’s a high risk to people in Snake Park, the evaporation ponds when their build with high wall with sand they contain a lot of water and over time the water form cracks in the pond in all sides and under the walls.

The heavy rainfalls too much sand erosion in the water ponds and walls become eroded by the rain water and walls will break and the water will flood to the farmers and to the community like it happened in 2022 , water flooded to peoples houses and damaged their belongings without any help from the mine owners and now their creating a disaster putting people’s life’s at risk with the water ponds full of dangerous chemicals.  

 Pan African must take proper safety measures concerning the safety of the snake park residents and their health must be prioritized by them and ensuring that the farmers are also safe with their livestock.

 First people need proper information about the activities done in the tailing dump, and ntate motloung 56 year old from block1 ask if are jobs in the tailing dump cause he wants his grandson to go and look for work in the mine tailing cause he saw Tlb machines and people busy on the tailing dump,b ecause of people are not well informed about the the activities they ask me as an activist.
