Community Alerts/Lorraine Kakaza/Carolina-Mpumalanga/19 August 2017
A water clinic course for civil society practioners was held at Middelburg at the Nkangala district Mpumalanga province South Africa as from the 15 to 17 of August 2017.
The aim of this course is to work collectively, networking and communication , so that we can save our water at the Olifants River . Saving water now means having water available in the future and to preserve our environment.
As we are activists we need to establish a catchment forum. Rivers are part of the system that connects to soil, water, wetlands, forests, crops, people.
Protection of our water resource is important. We means being aware of and protecting
- water rights
- water use licence
- water quality and flow
- data source
- water chemistry collecting water samples
- chemical data
We must work together collectively as well as stratege and plan.
