On Monday 27.08.18 we learnt about the national water act (act 36 of 1998)which was promulgated into law on the 1st of October 1998. This is where we get the acts like the National Environmental Management Act(NEMA)which is the mother body of the Specific Environmental Management Act (SEMA)all under section 24.On the 28.08.18 we learnt about the Air Quality Act (act 39 of 2004)which is a SEMA dealing with Air Quality especially in the High Priority Areas like Vaal, Highveld and Waterberg. This goes with the Air Emmision Licence (AEL)that is why we get Climate change. Under the SEMA we find the NEM AQ which governs the Air Quality, of which we as communities we also contribute through coal stoves, smoking, cars and during strikes the burning of tires.
