Today l took initiative to give seedling to the community of Atok who are doing gardening.
This was just to encourage them in what they have started. It is always good when youth and women at their village started food garden to make sure that they put food to the table for their loved ones and also try to survive with the little they sell to the community. All we need is land water and dedication to have gardens.

We can also harvest the seeds and use them later. It is a critical time people are losing jobs and unemployment is going up, so this initiative will help people to make sure that the loved ones do not go to bed with empty stomach. There’s a hope what we need is to share our knowledge and experience on how one can grow vegetables garden our government has failed us so people need to start doing things for themselves.

I will love to help other groups in my region (Sekhukhune) and hopefully it will happen one day.

This is a start Halaala. Atok community garden. I’m personally happy that this group is also part of the Sekhukhune Environmental Justice Network and they are also fighting the environmental injustices. ✊?✊?✊?✊?
