Community angry at Shoprite Phokeng

A community member complained to the manager of the Shoprite store which is situated at Bafokeng Mall. This is after the customer bought a baby formula milk only to realize that the formula had long expired. Upon returning the product the Manger was arrogant and refused to change the product.

This infuriated community members who later called on public safety police as well as the health inspectors(municipality) who discovered some products which were past their sell-by date. Some members of the community later closed the shop demanding accountability. Members were joined in action by ward councillors who were seen vocal, lamenting the arrogance of the manager.
