The elections have come and gone for all of our municipalities and now is time to get to work,. The youth of Matjhabeng will be embarking on a massive cleaning campaign as part of the initiative of the COGTA drive to get people to participate in the environmental welfare of our communities.
The program took off to a massive start yesterday in the backdrop of heavy rain that could not deter the young people or deminish their determination. All the necessary apparatus and relevant machinery were laid bare for everyone’s disposal and young people displayed vigour and stoicism to ensure the success of the cleaning campaign.

The campaign was even graced by the presence of the MEC of COGTA who encouraged young people to take a lead in ensuring the success of the environmental initiatives in our various communities.

Despite the fact that young people are hard hit by the unemployment pandemic that is ripping our communities apart through their lengths and breath but the spirit of voluntarism is the driving force behind their determination.

The campaign will take place in various municipalities across the province and out of it our young people hope to acquire employment that will sustain them into the future create more community projects.
