Killing in Ikemeleng

Ikemeleng is an eventful place. As the taxi approaches the informal settlement we find heavy police and public safety officers presence and told to divert as protesters blocked all roads leading into to the settlement and nearby mine Aquarius.  Had to walk 3km to get to Buti’s house from where we were dropped off. The protesters are demanding electricity connection. As the project has installed metres and left with no info as to when they will be connected
