The community of Buffelsfontein near Stilfontein in Klerksdorp anticipate better life. This rural and farming community is about to experience mining in its land for the first time; however the question is; will this economic development change their life’s. Already there are reports that agricultural project funds meant for the community were stolen by corruption government officials. We will leave stone unturned including on the mining company which will be mining here, the community leader, Pogisho Koloane said. The Justice and Peace in Klerksdorp has facilitated a workshop for the community, the main objectives was to enlighten the community to know what to expect when mining kick start in their area. After the workshop, the community were enlightened about the social labour plans and said they will not allow gold mining to commence before they have the document at hand, commented and consented to it.
