Blasting contribute to Air Pollution

#AIRPOLLUTION

Blasting is the biggest contributor to air pollution since establishment of Khwezela Opencast Mine near our townships it’s been hard to live under this conditions.

After blasting all the Chemical dust goes everywhere and it’s a black dust meaning we inhail and we breathe dirty air already.

They blast every 3 days per week you can even see a dark cloud because air it’s dirty.
Emalahleni area is affected by air pollution because we live here we have nonwhere to go, we breathe this dirty air daily .

Air Pollution affects us severely people are living with different types of illnesses caused by blasting from all the mines around our communities.

Khwezela Opencast Mine was not supposed to be established near our communities in the first place, it should be closed but we know it’s not easy to be closed because we did held a march but nothing happened after it .

DMRE should be held accountable for issuing mining licenses to this mines , and they should come back and close this mine .
