Difficulty in breathing
#BREATHINGPROBLEM
In 2015 I arrived at Emalahleni Local Municipality coming from Nkomazi Local Municipality at the age of 25 years in a hope that I will get job opportunities especially in the mining area as Emalahleni is known for producing coal.
Because of not getting what I came for I decided to sell fast food so that those coming from work may buy from me in Vosman as there’s so many mines around there.
This happened five months after my arrival in Emalahleni Vosman. The workers and community people supported my business in such a way that I saw that working at a mine was going to be a waste for me compared to my business.
In 2020 I then started to feel difficulty in breathing and went to the Doctor who said I have asthmatic attack, he ordered me to leave Emalahleni before it’s too late for it is still in a controllable stage but thinking of my business I decided to control it staying around. The problem is that I spend more money on medication and the profit is not the same as most people have lost their jobs and decided to went back to their homes outside Emalahleni.
The COVID19 pandemic has caused job losses and it affected my business and my health too.
I made my research after being told that I have asthma and found that many peoples are relying on asthmatic spray for breathing that made me realised that the only way out of this sickness is to return back home for the sake of my health and life.
I have made a decision to go for good in the beginning of December and leave Emalahleni with its polluted air.
